Author's note: Quiet Freedom is my first and only (fiction) book that I have written. It is published only on the Internet.
Quiet Freedom is an adventure of self-discovery. An exploration to find one's self in a harsh and strange landscape.
It is both a physical and mental adventure. You may find the Prologue interesting to get you started.
The writing of this book was instrumental in helping me to lose my pride and helping me to "see with new eyes." Maybe it will help you.

Summary

The death of a best friend causes Amanda, a successful corporate professional,  to question her existence and the direction her life is taking.
Her journey of discovery takes her from a civilized life in Seattle, USA to the desolate Arctic in Northwestern Greenland in search
of a wild polar bear. A search that comes to fruition as she realizes that she has never seen a
real polar bear despite owning a large stuffed animal of a polar bear. Amanda's quest leads her to find a new meaning of freedom
by questioning the basic principles and assumptions that our society rests upon. QUESTioning the illusion of life that we have created.

Did you know a WILD polar bear is able to swim up to 100 kilometers / 60+ miles in the open ocean?

Polar Bears Spotted Making Long Open Ocean Swims - ...it probably is not a big deal for a polar bear in good condition to swim 10 or 15 miles, but swims of 50 to 100 miles could be exhausting.
