Major changes posted to following sections recently:
- Continuing conversion away from Yahoo! Pagebuilder format. Adding images to beautify the site (Observations and Footprints & Trails section)
- Adding navigation bars to main sections of website on every page
Remodeled:
- Observations -> Library: Added a considerable number of books and videos that have influenced me. All categorized. All books properly linked to Amazon.com or other 3rd party website. I still need to write short 1 line comments about each title.
- Observations -> Writings: Using a table to clearly identify the articles and the formats they are available in
- Join the Circus -> Equipment: I've made this section more clear and improved the navigation using web frames. There are lots of tables and weblinks now. The list of equipment is nearly complete. It stills need some additional work, but I am very pleased with this section now.
- Destinations: Scrapped my original idea on how to organize information for the various places I visit. The new format uses frames and also a Javascript menu. The menu contains links to websites which have information regarding a particular subject area on global scale. (Example - links and information on Tourism Offices Worldwide)
This is very useful for me when traveling. I've created a generic template to hold articles that I write and interesting weblinks I collect during my travels. The colors used represent the region or country's flag. New format on Latin America and US / Canada sections so far.
- Footprints & Trails -> Themes: Improving the layout and adding in missing themes. This still requires quite a bit of work.
Added:
- Observations -> My Changing Vision: A way of sharing with you how my vision has changed over time and what was the source of the change. I mentioned this in a journal entry quite a few months ago, I am finally starting to deliver on that desire. In the future I would like to add links to photographs, books, websites, etc... I feel it is a good first draft though. Some strange behavior in converting from my spreadsheet program to HTML has caused some text to show up in areas while they don't show up on my screen. Under investigation
- Posted A Single Touch in WRITINGS section - My greatest adventure. This adventure is a large part of why I am doing what I am today.
