One of the earlier examples given about the US was the populace's addiction addiction to prescription drugs.
Some might be quick to fault modern pharmaceutical companies and their marketing and/or other business practices.
But the same thing exists in other nations in different forms. In the Indian subcontinent area it is called ayurveda.
In China it is called Chinese traditional medicine,
prescription pharmacies, or self-medication with over the counter (OTC) drugs
As a short term fix / "cure" these products may still have a place....

WE DO NOT NEED ANY DRUGS!
HEAL YOUR MIND - and you will HEAL YOUR BODY
Look (deep) inside first - before outside.
Those souls who are unable TO BE without drugs (of any kind) WILL NOT EVOLVE.
Find the ROOT problem(s) of your stress, pain, etc...the relatively few instances where we need
medicine tend to be related to physical injuries. But once those have healed, or that pain has subsided...
Many physical ailments are related to the mind and the prolonged exposure to CRAP WE EAT too.
Wayne has a high school friend who attended the top universities along the way to achieving a Ph. D. in medicine
and an MBA. Stanford, UCLA, and Harvard residency. The last time he saw him - his friend already had
gray hair! At the same age of 31. No doubt due to the intense study & stress required.
What is the medical industry's ultimate objective -- keeping you aLIVE! NOT BEing!
