Knowing vs BeLIEving

Beliefs change because beLIEfs are uncertain.
You want to be CERTAIN and KNOW.

You want to KNOW why.

If you don't know, then you don't KNOW.
You want to speculate, then make that clear.

If you said you KNOW and you are wrong, then you admit it and change positions.

The "hurdle" for using the world KNOW is much higher than believe.

Red hurdle - knowing

Blue hurdle - believing

Once you get over the pride hurdle by yourself....

Greatet American Hero Intro

"Greatest American Hero (Believe it or Not)"  Lyrics
TV Show Greatest_American_Hero (Wiki)

He can't believe it - because he knows it!

"Maybe he has all those powers because he's following the Middle Way
when he wears the suit!" (Metaphor).

This character means - Middle - in Chinese. China in Chinese is Zhong-Guo. Literally - "Middle Nation" or "Middle Kingdom."

How to Write Chinese character - "中"(zhong)?

Seeing is NOT KNOWing

seeing ≠KNOWing, SEEing sometimes IS BeLIEving

When I first saw this "faucet" I was scratching my head - "What is this?" "How is this possible?"
Well, seeing is not knowing, so I went to take a closer / better look - then I realized how it worked.
Maybe you can figure it out without looking at a larger photo, but it is more impressive when you see it in person with the water moving!

Innocence Project (home) - Innocence_Project (Wiki)
As of May 31, 2008, 217 defendants previously convicted of serious crimes in the United States had been exonerated by DNA testing. Almost all of these
convictions involved some form of sexual assault and approximately 25% involved murder.
How many more are out there? How many more have been there (and died?)
I suppose some VIctims and lawyers are too eager to CONvict.

The DEvil is in the DEtails....

Wayne's comment - "often non-Indian Asians (NIA)" are unable to tell the difference in Asian faces. He has seen this all over the world.
Between Japanese, Korean, Chinese, etc...this is often (Not always) easy for most NIA.
An untrained eye (more specific than just NIA) often does not have as good of an ability to tell different NIA faces apart.
The same would apply in the reverse direction. Perhaps a study of facial recognition of gradients of color would be appropriate.
If this is true - wouldn't the same apply for victims and witnesses? MIStaken identity!

Sept. 04, 2007 - Russian Mayor bans ´I don´t know´ (SF Gate - USA)
It is okay to NOT KNOW - if you speak the truth. Which is how you will be when you have no pride.
This mayor is going from one extreme to another

EMF Unbelieveable lyrics on Yahoo! Music

Music - EMF - Unbelievable

The reason you do not want to believe is that this feeling is not strong enough for you to take action.
You must KNOW. Action means you may need to quit your job and/or leave your home before 2012.
You WILL NOT do this if you only BeLIEve. If BeLIEving is good enough for you, then don't waste your time reading this site.

Science of it All

http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/science

Etymology:  Middle English, from Anglo-French, from Latin scientia, from scient-,
sciens having knowledge, from present participle of scire to know

...but sometimes....no, often times, we don't understand the "SCIENCE / KNOW" of things.
We just have to admit that WE DO NOT KNOW.

---

instinctual know - strong
(Little to no thinking required)

intellectual know - weak, "not reliable"
(Often requires thinking)
