Kali Yuga is the last of four Yugas—upon its conclusion, the world will 'reboot' into a new Satya Yuga (Golden Age).
This involves the end of the world as we know it and the return of Earth to a state of paradise.
Kali Yuga began at midnight (00:00) on 18 February 3102 BCE according to the Surya Siddhanta,
which is an astronomical treatise that forms the basis of all Hindu and Buddhist calendars.
Kali Yuga is sometimes referred to as the Iron Age because it was also the time when forging iron was discovered.

Spend enough time in the India region and you will soon realize how prone to exaggeration Indian people can be.
Apply this exaggeration to this story and one can see how the end of the Kali Yuga could be pushed out to a date far away.]

According to some sources, the first ancestors sailed from Southern China around 3000 B.C. to the island of Sulawesi in Indonesia.
They traveled up the Saqdan River into the valley that is now known as Toraja Land. However, some believe that their ancestors
were a group of people called tomanurung, which means "people who have descended from heaven,"
who came in spaceships and landed on top of the mountains that circle the valley of Toraja Land. ..
(Now where would this 'less advanced' tribe get such a crazy idea from?
Not from non-existent TV, radio, or the newspaper....that's for sure)

Buddhism

- Buddha Maitreya (Wikipedia) - Maitreya Bodhisattva (Sanskrit) or Metteyya Bodhisatta (Pali) is the future Buddha in Buddhist eschatology.
Maitreya is a bodhisattva who some Buddhists believe will eventually appear on earth,
achieve complete enlightenment, and teach the pure dharma. Maitreya Bodhisattva will be the successor of the historic
Sakyamuni Buddha. He is predicted to be a “world-ruler,” uniting those who he rules over.
The prophecy of the arrival of Maitreya is found in the canonical literature of all Buddhist sects (Theravada, Mahayana and Vajrayana)
and is accepted by most Buddhists as a statement about an actual event that will take place in the distant future. [ What if that time is now? ]
