Lots of good philosophy in this book. Good thinking book. The truth will be different than what the 'authorities' will tell you. This book breaks stereotypical molds. That's why I like it.

Sci Fi Channel - Stargate

TV series which portrays gods as belief systems put in place by more powerful / advanced civilizations. Incidentally, the CIA's name for their remote viewing project was called Stargate.
What if the belief system was created by the people themselves based off much simpler teachings?

This is an interesting metaphor. There is more truth in this than you might imagine, but when it is revealed, it won't be anywhere near as dark and grotesque as this movie portrays.

 Interesting metaphor for preventing the destruction of Earth in a future time period by a dark black ball of death.
 A "perfect person" comes and just needs love.
I'll say, we don't need to feel love,
we need to BE THE LOVE.
We can stop our obsession with perfection now too.

A perspective on how civilization came about, explained with the help of an imprisoned "talking" ape.
Has a "cult" following. Cleverly written.

There are more books in this series by Daniel Quinn, but I have only read the first two. These (2) books were among the final books I was reading before my event occurred.

Celestine Prophecy   / Movie

I've only seen the movie. I enjoyed the first part, but the second half strikes me as a bit contrived. Nevertheless, there is some truth to the way coincidences are portrayed.
