The most insidious one of them all. You think you've won, but
quite often you end up on a slippery slope to hell.
Example:
Victors of WW2 - US, Russia, China
USA - Became paranoid over red communist threat. Soviet Union - Paranoid over US and all the purging that went on in this nation. Both - Development of ridiculous sized nuclear weapons in the cold war. Why? Paranoia. China - Mao went crazy with his ridiculous and disastrous Great Leap Forward. The proud people/fearful - eagerly followed. Fools. Winners become losers. They also decided to invade Tibet and caused disaster there too. Mao's picture still hangs in Tianamen square.
Crime levels today are FAR, FAR higher in the US than in Europe - which was ravaged. Pride = fear = paranoia.
