Self - XXXX

Self-conscious examples:

- Impotence - Important - Im-po-tent ; Coincidence? The more self-conscious / important one feels, the more impotent. Impotence is associated with men for ejaculation problems, but what about women and orgasm problems?

- Driving - When you learn how to drive you are self-conscious about the whole experience.
- Overweight - can't control emotions, so eat as a substitute. (This is well known)
- Shyness - Kids love to show boat - so why are some more (Overly) shy then others? -- Poor parenting perhaps.
- Speaking front of audiences - Other than lack of preparation, perhaps this is from being self-conscious, and fear of embarassment, and being "naked" in front of an audience.

Self - Humiliation = mocking other people

Self - Humility = insincerity. Often results in the truth being hidden / distorted.

self-serving

As with self-deception. Eliminate the self and one won't be self-conscious, or won't be guilty of any of the others.

Hypocrisy

Lesser form of self-deception. But just as insidious (like hope). I even heard a newscaster on MSNBC boast that personal hypocrisy is ok, but government hypocrisy is alright. He will be a sorry ass soon enough.

Examples

Identity: Example - Environmentalist

yet drive a huge SUV or buy a new car frequently, living in huge house

images

Religion: Example - Christianity - Jesus

Lots of people claim to follow Jesus Christ. Do they really?

In one sentence - what was Jesus' message. Love thy enemy?
How about UN-CONditional LOVE.

Yet why do people vote for war? Why are they vengeful?

June 8, 2006 - Michael Berg Interview  (CNN)

BERG: I feel doubly bad, though, because Zarqawi is also a political figure, and his death will re-ignite yet another wave of revenge, and revenge is something that I do not follow, that I do want ask for, that I do not wish for against anybody. And it can't end the cycle. As long as people use violence to combat violence, we will always have violence.

O'BRIEN: I have to say, sir, I'm surprised. I know how devastated you and your family were, frankly, when Nick was killed in such a horrible, and brutal and public way.

BERG: Well, you shouldn't be surprised, because I have never indicated anything but forgiveness and peace in any interview on the air.

June 9, 2006 - Someone Please Shoot Michael Berg (Rantings of a Sandmonkey Blog)

The link above is typical of many reactions to Michael Berg's position.
It's not even their family member and they have such negative opinions of him.

IF you maintain this ideology of REVENGE and eye for an eye - you will suffer. Your blindness will be painful.
I already am the TRUTH and I am the MIDDLE WAY.
If you do not become these too - you may suffer from unspeakable terror.

eye for an eye

- complain about things/issues - but take no substantive action

Consumerism: Example - Diamond rings

 Word usage: Example - Ambush

trojan horse image

I hear this word used alot. ______ soldiers were ambushed yesterday in _____ country.
Of course - when the technically stronger and superior country launches missiles and bombs
those are not referred to as an ambush. What is the definition of an ambush?

1) A sudden attack made from a concealed position.
2) A hidden peril or trap

Do you ever hear - they were ambushed by a cruise missile.
They were ambushed by an artillery shell (Tank, ship). They were ambushed by a flying unmanned drone.
They were ambushed by soldiers using night vision goggles. They were ambushed by a fighter plane in the air.

night vision goggles

artilley shell - from tank, ship

<change wording>
No - you don't. Because the editors and/or military in question are grossly biased. You can see this in
the recent fighting between Israel and Lebanon. But it applies to every country with these heavy duty weapons.

No more LYING!

Am I clear? You must BECOME the TRUTH. Then you will see all these pervasive lies.

- YOUR CHOICE -

News reporting:   Chinese county clubs to death 50,000 dogs (MSNBC)
Sounds like a sickening story - until you decide to write the one with this headline -
200 Million Americans eat Tens of Millions of HORRIFICALLY caged animals every day.

HYPOCRISY! Look in the MIRROR!

STOP DEnying the TRUTH!!

Out of control DEbt

While going into debt certainly isn't anything new, the age of materialism has taken it to a new level. It is one thing to take in some debt for just survival and schooling, but to go out of control by buying things you clearly do not need!?

Why Do Some People Shop Impulsively? - Newsweek Health - MSNBC.com

Why do people heavy in debt need to keep buying things?  Like self-deception and eating disorders - these people can't control their emotions. Because they feel special!!!  (Hey -- that sounds like a marketing slogan)

Out of control Saving

On the flip side....

For what is too much saving - Hoarding! Hoar-----WHORE!

The more you save - the more you need to be saved.
(Yes, I'm talking about what you save beyond a reasonable amount of savings.
Do you know what I mean?)

Self-Less

Also equivalent to pride-less. Self-less people are more inclined to be generous and kind. Not pushovers, but generally less concerned about their physical image, material net worth, and what others think of their status in life.

In the event of an emergency - more likely to help. As in diving in to water, or otherwise. Less prone to panic.

WRONG. Change this.
