Iran ---> Iraq? Austrian super rifles
Feb.13, 2007 - Iraqi insurgents using Austrian rifles from Iran (Telegraph - UK)
-------
Came across this article while I was searching for clipart to improve readability of the website. Funny...that this article just popped up in the last day. An article talking about the sale of the rifles is posted in the War News - Weapons section. I even have a link to an online vendor in Norway where you can get your own. Aren't guns great? Any (US) National Rifle Association members reading this? That DEbate goes on forever in the US and who knows where else. But, it's written in the US CONstitution - the right to bear arms they scream! That's just one of the CONs.....the new world will need a lot fewer laws, maybe they will be called guidelines.
I did some maintenance on the WAR NEWS section - got rid of most dead weblinks, and formatted all the newer articles. This section is particularly interesting, because even if you "disregarded" everything else on this website - the WAR NEWS section has very little commentary by me. It's all written by other people and for the most part major news sources. Can't argue that I reckon. You can eat it though. Yummy!
Making good progress on improving most sections. I find myself in a time crunch again with only one month to go before I'm on the road again - though I will have an ability to update while traveling. Traveling with a laptop this time.
The sections I've spent the most time on recently are in the upper left of the toolbar.
Year 2012, World Myths, and Who We Are. Those three sections are nearly complete -except for the World Myths - Golden Cow story I want to share, but that will have to wait until later in the year. Currently working on the Signs section. I also cleaned up some in the Age of Light - Animal Kingdom. Still looking to post some photos from my recent trip Lion Tour 2006. All that is left is some titling on the slides - about 130 images.
Sorry, don't want to bore you with website maintenance. Here's the most interesting thing I've seen on television recently - as in yesterday:
http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/bonobos/
I mention bonobos somewhere on the site - I think in an area that needs to be cleaned up alot.
Sex not war. Sex not war. Say...why does one need to dress modestly at churches? Adam and Eve were naked.....
Austrian sniper rifles that were exported to Iran have been discovered in the hands of Iraqi terrorists, The Daily Telegraph has learned.
More than 100 of the.50 calibre weapons, capable of penetrating body armour, have been discovered by American troops during raids.
The guns were part of a shipment of 800 rifles that the Austrian company, Steyr-Mannlicher, exported legally to Iran last year....-------
